The Super Kroz games

Four more Kroz adventures from 1990: Return to Kroz, Temple of Kroz, The Final Crusade of Kroz and The Lost Adventures of Kroz.

The hero returns to the Kingdom of Kroz for a new set of quests, through temples, crusades and long-lost levels, with the same text-mode monsters and gem-hunting as before.

The whole Kroz series was released as freeware by Apogee / 3D Realms in 2009.

About the game

Return to Kroz, Temple of Kroz and The Final Crusade of Kroz form the Super Kroz trilogy. The Lost Adventures of Kroz collects extra levels.

The classic Kroz formula is unchanged: move, whip, dodge, and find the way out of every level.

History

Written by Scott Miller and released by Apogee in 1990, just before Apogee moved on to games like Commander Keen.

Apogee released all seven Kroz games as freeware in March 2009, along with their source code.
