We don't host games
We never host or share copies of games, ROMs, BIOS files, disc images or scanned manuals. Every "play" or "buy" button links to an official source: the rights holder's own freeware release, or a legal store such as GOG, Steam or Xbox.
Games marked as freeware were made free by their rights holders. We link to the official free download, not to copies hosted elsewhere.
Copyright and trademarks
All game titles, names, characters, logos and other trademarks belong to their respective owners. Golden Era Games is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any game publisher, developer or store mentioned on this site.
The descriptions, histories and review summaries on this site are written by us. Reviews are summarised in our own words; scores are quoted as published, and every review links to the original article.
Pictures
We only use images we have made ourselves or have permission to use. If you believe an image on this site belongs to you and is used without permission, please contact us and we will remove it.
Emulators
Emulators are legal programs. Games and system files (BIOS and ROMs) are still protected by copyright. Only use copies you own or official releases. Our Emulators page links only to the emulators' official websites.
Links to other websites
We link to stores, review sites, emulator projects and Wikipedia. We are not responsible for the content, prices or privacy practices of other websites. Store extras and prices can change after we write about them.
Privacy
This site has no user accounts. [UPDATE THIS WHEN THE SITE GOES LIVE: describe any cookies, analytics, ratings storage or contact forms you use, and how long data is kept.]
If you contact us by email, we only use your message to reply to you.
For rights holders
If you own the rights to a game or other material on this site and want something changed or removed, contact us at [YOUR EMAIL]. We will respond quickly and act on valid requests.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep information accurate, but we can't guarantee that every detail, link or price is correct or up to date. The site is provided as is.
