Batman: Arkham Asylum

Rocksteady Studios' 2009 Batman game, praised for its flowing combat, stealth and detective work.

Batman brings the Joker back to Arkham Asylum, but it is a trap. The Joker takes over the island, and Batman must fight through its inmates, including Poison Ivy, Scarecrow and Killer Croc.

About the game

The rhythm-based "Freeflow" combat lets Batman fight many enemies in one smooth chain.

Detective mode helps you track clues and pick off armed guards from the shadows.

History

Developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Eidos and Warner Bros. in 2009.

Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill voice Batman and the Joker. Arkham City followed in 2011.
