About the game

Walkers carry services through your streets, so the layout of roads and buildings decides whether houses grow into villas or fall into ruin.

Keep the gods happy, defend against barbarians and send goods to Rome when Caesar asks.

History

Developed by Impressions Games and published by Sierra in 1998.

It led to Pharaoh, Zeus and Emperor, and fans have rebuilt it in an open-source engine called Julius.
