Grim Fandango

Tim Schafer's 1998 film-noir adventure in the Land of the Dead, often named one of the greatest adventure games ever made.

Manny Calavera sells travel packages to newly dead souls on their four-year journey to eternal rest. When he discovers a corrupt scheme that cheats good souls of their rightful tickets, he sets off on a journey of his own.

GOG sells Grim Fandango Remastered (2015), with sharper characters and lighting. The original 1998 release is not sold.

About the game

The look mixes Mexican Day of the Dead folk art with 1930s and 1940s noir films, and the jazz soundtrack is famous in its own right.

The story spans four years, each one a different chapter of Manny's journey.
