Startopia

Mucky Foot's 2001 space station management sim, made by ex-Bullfrog developers, with the same playful spirit as Theme Park and Dungeon Keeper.

After a galactic war, abandoned donut-shaped space stations are up for grabs. Take one over, make it a home for a dozen alien species and turn a profit, while rival station owners try to do the same.

Sold on GOG.

About the game

Each station has three decks: a working deck, a pleasure deck and a bio-deck you can landscape and farm.

Every alien race has its own needs and skills, and VAL, the sarcastic station computer, keeps you company.

History

A spiritual successor, Spacebase Startopia, came out in 2021.
