About the game
Knight Lore used a new engine Ultimate called Filmation, which showed each room in 3D from an angle. You could climb, push and stack objects in a way few games had allowed before.
Sabreman switches between man and wolf as day turns to night, and the clock keeps ticking the whole time you explore.
History
Released for the ZX Spectrum in 1984 and later ported to the Amstrad CPC, BBC Micro and MSX. Its isometric look was copied by many games in the years that followed.
It was reportedly finished before Sabre Wulf but held back, because Ultimate felt it was too far ahead of its time. It is included in Rare Replay for Xbox.
