Castlevania II: Simon's Quest

Konami's 1987 sequel that turned Castlevania into an open world with towns, a day-night cycle and lots of secrets.

Simon Belmont defeated Dracula, but was left with a deadly curse. To lift it, he must find Dracula's scattered remains across Transylvania and burn them in the ruins of the castle.

Sold on Steam as part of the Castlevania Anniversary Collection.

About the game

You explore freely, buy items in towns and talk to villagers, who sometimes lie.

At night, the monsters grow stronger and the towns fill with zombies.

History

Developed and published by Konami in 1987 in Japan, and on the NES in 1988.

On PC it is part of the Castlevania Anniversary Collection.
