Space Quest III: The Pirates of Pestulon

The Two Guys from Andromeda's 1989 sequel, where Roger Wilco has to rescue... the Two Guys from Andromeda.

Roger drifts in an escape pod until a garbage freighter scoops him up. Escaping from it in a junk-built ship, he discovers that the evil software company ScumSoft has kidnapped two game designers, and sets out to free them.

Sold on GOG together with Space Quest I and II.

About the game

It moved the series to Sierra's newer engine, with sharper graphics and a full musical soundtrack.

The jokes target everything from fast food to the games industry itself, and the arcade game Astro Chicken is hidden inside.

History

Created by Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy and released by Sierra On-Line in 1989.

Space Quest IV followed in 1991, with Roger travelling through time to earlier and later Space Quest games.
