Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge

Ron Gilbert's 1991 sequel, bigger, stranger and even funnier than the first Monkey Island.

Guybrush Threepwood is famous for defeating LeChuck, and nobody wants to hear about it anymore. So he sets off to find the legendary treasure of Big Whoop, while LeChuck, now a zombie, plans his revenge.

The Special Edition lets you switch to the original 1991 version.

About the game

It was the first game to use iMUSE, LucasArts' system that changes the music smoothly as you move between scenes.

You can pick an easier "Lite" mode or the full game, and its ending is still one of the most talked-about in gaming.

History

Designed by Ron Gilbert with Tim Schafer and Dave Grossman, and released by LucasArts in 1991.

A Special Edition with new art and voices came out in 2010.
