Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers

Sierra's 1991 time-travel comedy, where Roger Wilco visits Space Quest games past and future, including ones that were never made.

Sludge Vohaul is back, as a computer virus, and he sends agents through time to hunt Roger down. Escape across the Space Quest timeline and stop him for good.

Sold on GOG together with Space Quest V and VI.

About the game

Roger jumps between eras that parody the series itself, from the older blocky graphics of earlier games to an imaginary future sequel.

It was the first Space Quest with point-and-click controls and painted, 256-colour backgrounds.

History

Created by Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy and released by Sierra On-Line in 1991.

A CD-ROM version with Gary Owens as the narrator followed in 1992.
