Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers

Jane Jensen's 1993 voodoo mystery set in New Orleans, one of the best-written adventure games of its era.

Gabriel Knight runs a struggling bookshop and is writing a novel about a series of voodoo murders. As he digs deeper, the case gets personal, and he discovers his own family is tied to it.

GOG sells the 1993 game in its full voice version. A 20th anniversary remake is also available.

About the game

The story unfolds over ten days, with research, interviews and real New Orleans locations from the French Quarter to Jackson Square.

The CD version has a star cast, including Tim Curry as Gabriel and Mark Hamill.

History

Written and designed by Jane Jensen and released by Sierra On-Line in 1993.

Two sequels followed, in 1995 and 1999, and Jensen made a remake for the 20th anniversary in 2014.
