Ultima Underworld II: Labyrinth of Worlds

Looking Glass Technologies' 1993 sequel, which swapped one dungeon for a hub of strange worlds.

The Guardian has trapped Lord British's castle inside a giant blackrock gem. From the sewers beneath, the Avatar travels through gateways to other worlds to find a way to break the gem.

Sold on GOG together with Ultima Underworld.

About the game

Each world is a different setting: a goblin-filled prison tower, an ice cavern, a ghostly academy and more.

It keeps the full 3D movement and rune magic of the first game, with a bigger view and more detail.

History

Developed by Looking Glass Technologies and published by Origin Systems in 1993.

The studio went on to make System Shock in 1994.
