Warren Spector's 2000 cyberpunk conspiracy game, where every problem has many solutions, and often called the best PC game ever made.

In a near future torn by plague and terrorism, nano-augmented agent JC Denton works for the anti-terrorist agency UNATCO. The deeper he digs, the less he trusts the people giving him orders.

Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition is sold on Steam. Made for adults: it is violent.

About the game

You can shoot, sneak, hack, talk or find a hidden route through almost every level. Augmentations and skills let you build JC your own way.

The story weaves real-world conspiracy theories into a tale of power, freedom and technology that still feels relevant.

History

Developed by Ion Storm Austin, directed by Warren Spector and Harvey Smith, and published by Eidos Interactive in 2000.

It was followed by Invisible War in 2003, and later Human Revolution and Mankind Divided.
