Diablo

Blizzard North's 1996 dungeon crawler, the game that made clicking on monsters and chasing loot irresistible.

Beneath the cathedral of the small town of Tristram, something evil has woken. Descend sixteen levels through catacombs, caves and Hell itself to face the Lord of Terror.

Sold on GOG. Made for adults: it is violent and dark.

About the game

Dungeons and loot are randomly generated, so no two playthroughs are the same.

Its battle.net service made online co-op easy, and the town's music, 'Tristram', is one of gaming's most famous tunes.

History

Developed by Blizzard North and published by Blizzard Entertainment at the end of 1996. The Hellfire expansion followed in 1997.

Diablo II came out in 2000, and the series continues today.
